Today, I want to introduce to you our third child, Aznor Afiq Irfan.
I had a lot of problems when I was carrying him. I was in and out of the hospital throughout the pregnancy. He was induced two weeks before the due date, right after I recovered from dengue fever.
He was the smallest baby among the five of them. His birth weight was only 3.25kg. We were really thankful that he was born alive and kicking.
Irfan was an easy baby to care. For the first two years of his life, he could utter only Babah and Mama. We were a little worried, but not overly so because we knew that there are children who speak much later.
But somehow, I knew that there was something wrong with him and I knew I shouldn't wait. So, after consulting the paediatrician, Irfan was referred to a speech therapist, who later on referred him to the ENT specialist.
It was discovered that he had a congenital defect with his hearing. His hearing ability was only 50-50, meaning that he could only hear whispers. I was really upset but I believed that I was lucky because I found out sooner rather than later.
So, he under gone an operation, and he was able to hear! The first few days was traumatic for him. He was closing his ears with both hands, trying to block away the loud noises he's hearing. He even hid under the table and chairs. But after a while he got used to the sounds. He went for speech therapy for about 3 months. He was a fast learner and now he is developing normally.

Our second child, Aznor Qistina Mastura Azri, was made in Japan but born in Malaysia. She is a very active child, very caring, helpful but does she have a temper!! She is like me in certain ways like.... we enjoy food!! She eats almost everything, just like me. She loves Japanese food most of all, and lontong, and chicken rice, ikan terubuk masam asam pedas and many more. She seems to like gymnastics and I do hope that she would come to the love the sport.
I guess being the only girl in the family makes her feel a little left out most of the time. She wishes for a sister but I don't think we can do anything about that. But thank God she is not a tomboy in any way! And mind you, one of her can beat the other 4 boys!

Let me introduce you to our first born, Aznor Yazid Ariffin Azri. He is going to be 9 soon. He likes tennis and loves chicken. He doesn't eat fish accept fresh salmon (sake sashimi). He also loves Pokemon and we enjoy the same hobby : playing game boy!! But now he is grounded because his monthly exam result was not too great , due to too much og game boy! So, until his next exam, he can't even touch the game boy!! Ha! Ha!
